PMax Asset & Search Theme Planner

Check Performance Max asset-group coverage against current Google Ads requirements and recommendations, then clean up search themes before launch.

1

Asset group context

Give the plan a name and record what this asset group is meant to cover.

2

Creative inventory

Enter the number of usable assets already prepared for this asset group.

Min 3 · Recommended 11+ · Max 15

Optional, but custom video is recommended.

Search themes

Enter one theme per line. PaidMediaKit checks count, duplicate phrasing and overly specific themes.

Use themes to add incremental information rather than duplicating what Google can already infer from the landing page.

Current PMax asset guidance used by this tool

The planner uses Google Ads’ current Performance Max specs for text, image and logo coverage, while treating video and additional formats as recommended rather than hard launch requirements where appropriate. Search themes are capped at 50 per asset group.

Asset count is only coverage. Strong assets still need distinct messages, useful creative variation and landing-page alignment. A pile of near-duplicates can technically fill slots without improving the campaign.
