How to read ACoS and TACoS together

ACoS is primarily an ad-efficiency metric. TACoS puts advertising spend in the context of all reported Amazon sales. Watching both can help distinguish a campaign becoming more efficient from the business becoming more or less dependent on paid media.

ACoS ↓ · TACoS ↓Ads became more efficient while spend also became a smaller share of total sales.
ACoS ↓ · TACoS ↑Ad efficiency improved, but advertising spend grew faster than the total sales base.
ACoS ↑ · TACoS ↓Ads became less efficient, while total sales grew enough to reduce advertising's share of sales.
ACoS ↑ · TACoS ↑Advertising efficiency weakened and spend became a larger share of total sales.
Important:TACoS is a commonly used seller and Amazon PPC management metric rather than a native Amazon Ads reporting metric. Also, ad-attributed sales and total Seller Central sales can use different attribution and reporting logic. Do not treat total sales minus ad-attributed sales as a precise measure of organic sales.
